Florida Hospital Carrollwood Receives Leadership in Quality & Patient Safety Award
(PRWEB) November 04, 2014 -- Florida Hospital Carrollwood proudly accepted the Florida Hospital Association (FHA) award for Leadership in Quality & Patient Safety (hospitals under 150 beds) at the recent FHA Celebration of Achievement in Quality and Service Awards banquet in Orlando.
“We are proud to recognize Florida caregivers and hospitals for their commitment to provide the highest quality care to our patients and communities,” said FHA President Bruce Rueben. “This awards program highlights several examples of the excellent work happening throughout our state.”
As one of 12 honorees, Florida Hospital Carrollwood was honored for innovation in the areas of patient safety and quality measures.
The Leadership in Quality and Patient Safety Award recognizes leadership teams (CEO, Board members, Physicians, Nurse Managers, etc.) who have taken extraordinary and innovative steps to improve quality and patient safety in their organization. Creating sustainable safety improvements requires the establishment of a safety culture, where the Board and senior leaders value and make personal commitments to safety. This award recognizes members who are driving the culture of safety by creating safer, more transparent environments for their patients and staff.
“We are thrilled to accept the award for Leadership in Quality and Patient Safety,” said Joe Johnson, President and CEO. “At Florida Hospital Carrollwood we have been dedicated to establishing a healing environment focused on patient safety, quality, and an exceptional experience. Our team has made amazing strides working together to create a culture focused on ensuring the highest quality of patient care.”
