The classic tool belt is getting a makeover this year as the TrakBelt360™ launches into the marketplace with a Kickstarter campaign running through December 5th, 2014.

After a particularly perilous day on the job, forensic photographer and trained firefighter Chris Landano decided it was time the tool belt got smart. While taking photos amidst a room of unsafe debris, he found himself caught in a tight place with his belt stuck and his life at stake. The only way to free himself was to unclip his belt, sacrificing his expensive photography equipment by dragging it through the rubble but ensuring he'd live to photograph another day. This close call inspired Landano to build the TrakBelt360™, a rotating belt and pouch system that would not only provide him easy access to all his gear but would boast a streamlined, multi-brand compatibility and added safety measures.

TrakBelt360™ is like a highly trained assistant--always at hand yet never in the way. Made of rugged military grade resins and fabrics, it's built for the long haul while remaining breathable and water resistant. Its unique sliding track allows users to adjust their pouches and tool holsters 360 degrees in either direction for instant access and increased maneuverability while on the job. Heavy pouches can be quickly unlocked and slid to the desired place when climbing ladders and moving around the site, or completely disengaged if caught. Additionally, it's compatible with competitor’s add-ons so users can find, or continue to enjoy, the perfect setup for their gear.

While it's been five years in the making, the TrakBelt360™ is finally ready to hit the market. Landano has left no feature untested, building the toughest, most versatile tool belt system of the 21st century. Once it reaches its Kickstarter goal of $35k, it'll be ready to make its debut at the work site where its accommodating and comfortable build will keep tools at the ready and disasters at bay.
