Charter Schools USA Hosts Leading Edge Professional Development for Teachers
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) November 07, 2014 -- Charter Schools USA teachers and support staff will attend the Leading Edge professional development program for teachers and team members from across the country today. Leading Edge is a rigorous internal professional development program infused with the culture, vision and mission of CSUSA. It is designed to develop and promote CSUSA’s highest performing school based educators and administrators and to prepare them for leadership opportunities throughout the network. This program is offered annually.
“We are committed to offering teachers an opportunity to grow, advance in their career, and use their skills throughout our network of schools,” said Sherry Hage, CSUSA Chief Academic Officer. “Professional development is key to our success in the classroom and in the long-term vision of CSUSA.”
Leading Edge candidates must have performed in the top 25th percentile of their school based on the previous year’s final performance evaluation. They follow an application and recommendation process and have met the criteria required for each level of training in order to be eligible to participate.
The Leading Edge program offers a multifaceted professional training experience including classroom sessions led by current CSUSA leadership team members, webinars, development of an individualized professional growth plan, on the job training outside of regular responsibilities, and participation in events supporting the overall growth of the organization.
