Three Fit Body Boot Camp Locations Offer Workouts in exchange for Food Drive Donations, November 17 - 22
Upland, CA (PRWEB) November 07, 2014 -- The Sweat for a Cause Food Drive is an initiative focused on collecting Thanksgiving Dinner supplies for families with monetary needs or barriers that keep them from enjoying the traditional family feast. The staff at the Upland, Glendora, and Ontario Boot Camps recognizes that, while the community may have numerous families that are “blessed and affluent,” there remains “too many people in [their] community that won’t have food or families to celebrate Thanksgiving with.”
These fitness experts, however, have come up with their own incentivizing twist on the traditional food drive donation format. While donating will provide charitable community members with the satisfaction of helping and uplifting others with needs, the Fitness Boot Camp staffs are providing their own services for free to those who gift local families with foodstuffs.
The exchange format is simple: one non-perishable food item for one free workout session. They will also be accepting monetary donations, with a $10 charitable contribution exchanging for the same free workout. They invite those interested to come donate and workout an unlimited number of times From November 17th through the 22nd.
The owner of these Fit Body Boot Camp locations, Leandro Cabico, explains a bit about the motivation behind his business’s initiative and his passion for helping the community: “At Fit Body Boot Camp Upland, Glendora, and Ontario, we’re not only committed to helping the local community live healthier lives, make better food choices, and exercise in pursuit of results, but we’re also heartily committed to being active members of the community when it comes to helping those that are less fortunate.
All proceeds will be donated to the Foothill Family Shelter, where it will be distributed throughout the community and assist those who need it most. For more information regarding the program and details about locations, workout schedules, donations, those interested can visit the Upland, Glendora, and Ontario websites.
“This will be a memorable holiday for so many people that have much less than we do,” says Cabico, “how great will it feel to know that you are part of their happiness this holiday season? Let’s make the lives of the less fortunate folks a little brighter… and burn some extra calories and inches while at it!”
