President of National Urban Alliance Speaks at TEDx;Delivers Passionate Talk About Educational Equality
DOHA, Qatar (PRWEB) November 06, 2014 -- Eric Cooper, the President and Founder of the National Urban Alliance for Effective Education (NUA), delivered an inspiring speech at TEDx, held at the Birla Public School in Doha, Qatar. Dr. Cooper spoke about the power of belief and the importance of equally high expectations for all students. Dr. Cooper contends that every child can and is entitled to succeed academically, regardless of cultural, economic, and ethnic roots.

Many lessons Dr. Cooper relayed in his speech about motivating students and the role of the brain in teaching and learning stem from his work at NUA. NUA’s mission is to substantiate an irrefutable belief in the capacity of all public school children to achieve high intellectual performances. NUA’s focus is raising teacher and administrator quality through professional development that incorporates research from cognitive neuroscience on learning, teaching and leading.
