New York, U.S. (PRWEB) November 10, 2014 -- Profiting from email marketing expansion in e-commerce in Northern Europe, one of Europe's leading integrated marketing service providers, Mailigen, has released a new extension for Magento, the largest open source e-commerce software provider, which is used by 26 % of online retailers worldwide. The new integration enables an automatic two-way synchronization between a Mailigen email list and a Magento email newsletter subscriber list in order to perform a common email strategy and email automation.
According to the E-commerce Customer Acquisition Report*, customer acquisition via email has quadrupled over the last four years. Email now accounts for more than 7 % of all e-commerce user acquisitions, making it the second-most effective acquisition channel behind search with 15.8 %. Moreover, the customer lifetime value of customers acquired through email is 12 % higher than the average.
“Data shows a growing trend of email marketing in e-commerce. An increasing number of retailers gather email addresses to convert leads into customers. So, the future of email service providers is to provide a completely integrated marketing experience to e-retailers. Magento is known as the third-most used e-commerce software provider to the top 500 e-retailers in the US and Canada, while European companies are following the same trend. Continuing Northern Europe's development in the e-commerce industry, we at Mailigen are developing commerce-related technologies in order to offer a full-service email and integrated marketing platform for e-business owners,” says Janis Rose, CEO of Mailigen.
