David Vanderpool, M.D. to Speak at Cottage Hospital Annual Meeting

Dr. David Vanderpool will share his experiences on providing medical relief after natural disasters and bringing health care to a rural Haiti community.

David Vanderpool, M.D., CEO and founder of LiveBeyond, will be the keynote speaker at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital’s annual medical staff meeting on Thursday, Nov. 6 at Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore in Santa Barbara, Calif.

With more than 300 medical professionals in attendance at the meeting, Dr. Vanderpool will share his experiences of providing medical care during disaster events around the world, and how he and his wife established LiveBeyond, a non-profit organization, to bring medical and maternal healthcare, clean water, orphanage support and community development to the poor in Thomazeau, Haiti.

Dr. Vanderpool is a guest of Jason Boyatt, MD, chief of staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Dr. Vanderpool and Dr. Boyatt had the opportunity to work with one another at daily medical clinics in Thomazeau, where Dr. Boyatt was serving on a medical mission trip with LiveBeyond.

“I am so honored that I was invited to be the keynote speaker at this event and am thrilled to share what our organization is about with Cottage Hospital’s staff,” said Dr. Vanderpool.
