Dr. Diane Allingham-Hawkins Recognized for Service to Canadian College of Medical Genetics

Hamerton Service Award by the Canadian College of Medical Genetics (CCMG). This honor is awarded “in recognition of services, diligently rendered to the CCMG over a reasonable period of time that allowed the development and the maintenance of the tradition of excellence of the Canadian College of Medical Geneticists.” Dr. Allingham-Hawkins received the award during the 38th Annual Scientific Meeting in Vancouver, BC during the Annual General Meeting.

Dr. Allingham-Hawkins has served the CCMG in many capacities over the years. She was a member of the Credentials Committee, and is a long-standing member of Constitution and Bylaws Committee, which she currently chairs. She is a past member of the Board of Directors, where she also served as Secretary, and an esteemed Past-President.
Dr. Allingham-Hawkins holds dual accreditation in molecular genetics and cytogenetics from the CCMG. As Director of Hayes GTE Program, she directs the development of genetic testing algorithms, health technology assessments, and evidence reviews for a wide variety of genetic and genomic tests.
