University Club of Pasadena is pleased to announce the appointment of James Shafer as Director of Membership Sales. Mr. Shafer brings more than 10 years of membership marketing experience. He is charged with expanding the historical club’s outreach to professionals and families seeking premier dining, networking, and social events.
Mr. Shafer comes to the University Club of Pasadena from Angeles National Golf Club, which is distinguished by its Nicklaus Design Group golf course—the only one in Los Angeles County. Working with the private golf club since its opening in 2004, he played an integral role in developing the club’s membership as Marketing Manager.
The University Club of Pasadena anticipates continued growth as Mr. Shafer expands exposure among community professionals. According to Mr. Shafer, the longevity of the club speaks to the value of membership: “For nearly a century, members of diverse industries have been building professional and social relationships here with ease thanks to the club’s superlative amenities, fine dining and extensive schedule of networking events.”
Mr. Shafer notes that the club has built its stellar reputation by providing outstanding service and filling a real void in the marketplace. “In today’s digital age, it’s harder to expand professional or social networks offline. The club provides a sophisticated, yet relaxed place for building relationships, dining, or hosting meetings. Given the true value of membership, I encourage all professionals, no matter their interests, to experience the lifestyle University Club of Pasadena offers.”
