Fame & Philanthropy Announces 2nd Annual Event to be Held on the Weekend of the Academy Awards
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) November 08, 2014 -- Fame & Philanthropy announced plans today to produce the 2nd Annual Fame & Philanthropy event which will take place on the weekend of the 87th Annual Academy Awards.
Following the success of last year’s event on the evening of the 86th Academy Awards, Fame & Philanthropy will once again initiate fundraising efforts to culminate in an event on Hollywood’s most prestigious weekend. The 2014 gala featured a keynote speech by Oscar award winning director James Cameron and was attended by more than 1,000 guests. Celebrities in attendance included Charlize Theron, Sean Penn, Halle Berry, Tyrese Gibson, Paris Hilton, Gene Simmons, Ne-Yo among many others.
Fame & Philanthropy aligns itself with non-profit, charitable foundations that share the same value of “supporting philanthropic, humanitarian, and educational efforts worldwide”. Last year the event raised money for Charlize Theron’s Africa Outreach Project, Ne-Yo’s The Compound Foundation, The Jenesse Center, and Community Inspiring Today’s Youth (CITY). The event raised enough money for CITY (http://www.TCPYouth.org) to open their first office space and operate programs for a year.

This event will provide an environment for industry leaders to join together in common purpose, and deliver an historic weekend featuring some of Hollywood’s most accomplished.
