New book discusses how to cope with the death of your pet
PHILADEPLPHA (PRWEB) November 09, 2014 -- Given the special bond most of us share with our animals, it’s only natural to experience feelings of grief and sadness when we lose them.
While coping with the loss of his cat Rocky, Bill Van Dusen was inspired to write a book honoring the life and legacy of his feline friend.
“The True Story of Rocky the Catholic Cat” is a spiritual book following Rocky and his brother Teddy, on their path to discovering fun, faith and family.
Growing up in a Catholic family, the brothers’ faith is tested when Rocky is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Rather than sink into despair, Rocky and Teddy sought the love of Jesus more than ever before.
“Rocky faced his illness with courage and was a beacon of hope as our family experienced an intense amount of pain and suffering,” Van Dusen said.
It is through the beauty of Rocky’s life that Teddy and the Van Dusen family learns about the depths of love, suffering and the promise of eternal life.
“The True Story of Rocky the Catholic Cat” will inspire readers as they relish the unique relationship demonstrated between God and His animal kingdom.
