Intel Capital Invests in Screenovate Technologies LTD
Ra'anana, Israel (PRWEB) November 09, 2014 -- Screenovate Technologies, a leader in the enablement of mobile devices through software, today announced an investment from Intel Capital. Specific terms were not disclosed.
Screenovate offers different wireless solutions that cover entertainment, productivity and education scenarios. For instance, its technology enables smartphone and tablet users to wirelessly beam movies, games, presentations or other content from their mobile devices to their TVs or other large displays. The company and Intel are working together to ensure that Screenovate’s Wi-Dock and TVCast solutions are optimized for hardware running Intel chipsets. Screenovate is also working in close cooperation with leading hardware OEMs to bring the functionality to the market.
“Intel continues its rapid growth in the mobility market, bringing platform innovation along with our chipsets,” said Chris Walker, general manager for revenue platforms for tablets at Intel. “Screenovate’s Elastic User Interface platform matches our vision of end user performance and of delivering new and unique experiences on mobile devices.”
Screenovate’s solutions are about connecting screens efficiently and wirelessly, and by that eliminating the limitations that hold back much of the potential in the mobile device. Screenovate’s innovative technology uses advanced software solutions and end-to-end optimizations to unleash the full power of the mobile device.
“People these days expect more from their mobile devices, but there are inherent limitations in screen size and input options,” said Intel Capital Managing Director, Marcos Battisti. “By eliminating these limitations, Screenovate allows a mobile device to function to its full potential.”
Intel Capital Directors Yair Shoham and Thomas Urban were also part of the team that led the investment.
“As sophisticated and advanced as the software technology is,” said Joshua Glazer, Screenovate’s CEO, “it must have a very tight connection with the hardware and the chipset. As we break the traditional limits of what our smartphones and tablets can do, there is no better partner to innovate with than Intel. We can’t be more excited by this strategic investment by Intel Capital; it will allow us to keep growing and reach much farther into this dynamic market."
