MedicAlert Foundation Announces New Executive Leadership Team
Turlock, CA (PRWEB) November 07, 2014 -- Calvin Bland, Board Chairman at MedicAlert Foundation, today announced a leadership transition within the international nonprofit organization. Andrew Wigglesworth, MedicAlert’s President and CEO had announced his departure from MedicAlert effective November 1, 2014 to join S. R. Wojdak & Associates, a national diversified consulting firm with offices in Harrisburg and Philadelphia Pennsylvania. He will serve as Executive Vice President.
MedicAlert has engaged ETR Associates, a California based Health Education firm with a national presence, to provide Executive Support Services until such time as a permanent replacement can be found. Daniel McCormick will serve as Interim CEO and David Yeung will serve as Interim COO.
"Mr. McCormick is a highly regarded executive who has held senior leadership positions at several national organizations, and we have no doubt he will bring the same passion, drive and vision to MedicAlert. Dan and the ETR team provide immediate leadership capacity as we enter our next period of growth focused on shaping the future direction of MedicAlert," stated Mr. Bland.
Mr. McCormick brings a diverse background as a health care and business executive having held president and CEO positions at numerous organizations, including, ETR Associates, Brighton Hospital, an affiliate of St. John Providence Health System in Michigan; and Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, an internationally renowned organization involved in addiction treatment, research and publishing. He is the former Managing Partner of the Chancellor Group, a national health care management and consulting firm based in Minneapolis. He has completed numerous interim assignments with other organizations in transition.
Mr. Yeung is an experienced executive who has held positions in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. He currently serves as Manager of Strategy and Business Development at ETR and has held several leadership positions within Deloitte Consulting LLP, an international Big Four professional services firm. “The combination of Mr. McCormick’s and Mr. Yeung’s talents, as well as access to the vast resources of ETR, will serve to position MedicAlert to continue to grow its impact on the stakeholders we have served so well over the last 50 plus years” stated Mr. Bland.
Mr. McCormick, who holds an MHA in health care administration and a BS in business finance from the University of Minnesota stated, "We feel privileged and honored to be supporting MedicAlert during this transition period.
