The law office of John M. DeProspo & Associates is proud to announce the launch of its newly updated legal website, PersonalInjuryHotline.com. This is the eighth makeover of the trendsetting site that first went online in 1998.

From its inception, accident victims have been able to either ask their questions online by filling out a form or by calling the toll free number, 800 2345-LAW. “The Personal Injury Hotline,” says Mr. DeProspo, the owner and originator of the service, “is unique in that most of the calls received are actually answered by me. It is a true hotline. Of course, there are times when I am not able to pick up a call. I do have an outside life!”

John M. DeProspo was an early adopter of that new thing which, at the time, was called the World Wide Web. “When we first went online in 1998, there were very few legal websites like ours. Our phone literally rang off the hook. In those early days, we were getting calls from almost every part of the globe; from India, Australia, Great Britain, you name it. Boy, were our telephone bills high!”

Of course, the landscape has changed greatly since then. Nowadays, almost every law firm has an online presence. Some of the bigger firms, who initially questioned the need to create a website, have gone all in by developing elaborate sites and spending inordinate amounts of money to promote those sites. In a recent article, Kevin O’Keefe states, “Today, law firms large and small are cutting back on traditional marketing tools and embracing digital activities and new technologies to market their people and services.” *

John M. DeProspo is a New York personal injury lawyer practicing in Brooklyn, New York, since 1979. “From day one, I have been a personal injury lawyer. I got my start working for my father-in-law, who, back in the day, was the epitome of the Brooklyn “Court Street” lawyer. I learned so much from him. He ran a large personal injury practice, was a flamboyant dresser, was beloved by his clients and boy, did he have a sharp wit and sense of humor! Our waiting room was not exactly that of Saul Goodman's (Breaking Bad) but close!”

One of the new features of PersonalInjuryHotline.com is the blog. “I really like posting a new article every week or so," says Mr. DeProspo. “Most of the articles are straightforward and informative. But once in a while, I like to go rogue. My most recent blog post is on lawyer jokes. You’ve got to have a sense of humor to survive so many years in the law business!” Just another thing Mr. DeProspo learned from his father-in-law.
