B:CIVIC Invites Colorado Businesses to Join In Boosting Philanthropy And Community Involvement Across the State
Denver (PRWEB) November 11, 2014 -- B:CIVIC (Businesses Committed to Investing and Volunteering in the Community) officially invites Colorado businesses of all sizes to join in its mission of promoting business philanthropy and community involvement across the state. The organization will officially kick off on November 18 in Denver and will honor its first 100 companies with Founding Member status.
B:CIVIC strives to unite and empower businesses to make a positive collective impact on Colorado communities. It offers year-round professional development events, access to resources that help guide corporate social responsibility and philanthropy efforts, increased visibility in the business sector’s community programs, and peer connections with other like-minded local leaders.
“We are thrilled to offer the support, education and collaborative opportunities to help Colorado businesses make a real difference in our local communities,” said Susan Hyatt, B:CIVIC Executive Director. “Studies have found time and time again that consumers value and buy from businesses that show civic responsibility. B:CIVIC offers an amazing opportunity for Colorado companies to demonstrate their values and commitment to working together for the betterment of Colorado communities.”
B:CIVIC is the spin-off organization of the 2% Club, which was created 20 years ago for CEOs to increase effective corporate giving in the community. B:CIVIC welcomes employees of any level and promotes the full range of ways businesses can be engaged in the community - not just grantmaking. Membership fees are based on the number of Colorado employees a company has and range from $250 to $2500 per year.
B:CIVIC invites representatives of any Colorado business to attend the Kick Off Party on November 18 at Will Call Denver (3043 Brighton Boulevard) from 5:00-7:00 p.m. This party is also the sneak peek of the new RiNo restaurant and bar in the Industry complex.
