We want to provide the readers of First Report Managed Care with information on specialty pharmacy as a resource for future management decisions.

First Report Managed Care, a leading publication serving the managed markets, is proud to announce a continued collaboration with the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy (NASP). First Report Managed Care and NASP are entering the second year of their partnership with exciting educational initiatives in line for the year ahead.

This past summer, NASP merged with the Specialty Pharmacy Association of America to create the largest professional and trade association focused on the unique needs of specialty pharmacy. The goal of this collaboration between First Report Managed Care and NASP is to educate managed care professionals on the latest research related to specialty pharmacy through the First Report Managed Care print and digital brand.

Specialty pharmacy is the fastest growing segment in the industry today. Innovations in drug discovery, drug delivery systems, advanced monitoring techniques, and informatics have all increased the need for advanced specialty pharmacy. With the rates of chronic, high-cost conditions increasing, payers are eager to find ways to diffuse costs, while also providing patients with the best care possible, thus making the burgeoning field of specialty pharmacy an important area for managed care professionals.

“We want to provide the readers of First Report Managed Care with information on specialty pharmacy as a resource for future management decisions,” said Kerri Fitzgerald, managing editor, First Report Managed Care.

“NASP appreciates the opportunity to collaborate with First Report Managed Care,” said Robert Fulcher, CAE, chief operating officer, NASP. “Meeting the specialty pharmacy education and information needs of managed care professionals is a high priority for NASP. We look forward to continuing our efforts with First Report Managed Care.”
