Former Cisco/WHIPTAIL Sales Executive, Ryan Snell, Joins Lua as Vice President of Sales for the Americas
New York City (PRWEB) November 11, 2014 -- Lua, the mobile-first, enterprise communications solution, today announced that Ryan Snell has joined the company as Vice President of Sales for the Americas. Snell brings seventeen years of experience successfully defining new markets and penetrating existing markets to introduce innovative products. Snell’s hire marks the latest addition to Lua’s executive team following the hire of WHIPTAIL co-founder, Brian Feller as Vice President of Global Sales in June of this year. Reteaming with Feller, Snell will support Lua’s rapid growth in both client count and depth of usage within organizations; the company has seen a 100 percent increase in message volume in just the last six months.
“At Lua, we pride ourselves on the measurable and demonstrable impact we make our clients’ businesses. We see our traction in the customer referrals we get and in the rapid growth of our message volume. As the superior platform for secure, reliable and intuitive enterprise communications, our client success and pace of growth are key reasons why Ryan has joined our team,” said Michael DeFranco, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Lua. “With Ryan deepening our bench, we are uniquely well-positioned to leverage our client success, user experience and unique organizational insights to push further into the enterprise.”
Prior to Lua, Snell led sales for the Americas at WHIPTAIL, growing the company to a $30M+ run rate, contributing to the organization’s $415M acquisition by Cisco in October of 2013. Snell joined WHIPTAIL as the third employee and first sales representative, quickly becoming Vice President and General Manager of the Americas, and was appointed Regional Manager of the Americas at Cisco post-acquisition to lead the sales integration. Before his time at Cisco/WHIPTAIL, Snell served in enterprise sales at Symantec, where he primarily concentrated on the security and management of endpoint solutions with his clients. Preceding Symantec, Snell was at Citrix, where he focused on selling into mobile workforces such as medical professionals and other sales teams.
“When looking to join an emerging technology firm such as Lua, I sought a company on the forefront of a huge wave of change. As many in the media have noted, that change is mobile messaging and it’s overtaking email as the primary form of workplace communication,” said Ryan Snell, Vice President of Sales, Americas, Lua. “Lua is the only enterprise messaging platform with a truly mobile-first approach to unlocking an organization’s intellectual capital through communication. The solution delivers measurable results as it enables workforces to accelerate their pace of work. I couldn’t be more excited to quickly scale the Lua salesforce in the Americas to help our customers and channel partners address the unbridled demand for an intuitive, easy to adopt, mobile solution dedicated to one’s work life.”
