Intelligent Triathlon Training Announces A New Coaching Service
(PRWEB) November 12, 2014 -- Popular triathlon training website Intelligent Triathlon Training launched a new coaching service last week.
Aimed at triathletes looking to complete their first triathlon, win their age group, be a successful professional or simply improve their performance, there is a coaching option for all.
Head Coach Mark Pearce, says, “All I ask is that you are keen, committed and want to improve. Being coached by me, you can be sure that everything will be covered. I have extensive experience of all aspects of preparation for triathlon. So not just swim, bike and run training, but also other aspects such as conditioning, nutrition and injury prevention”.
Pearce is a qualified sports scientist and started working as sports scientist for the British Triathlon Federation in 2002. He became Head Coach of the Loughborough High Performance Centre for the Federation in 2010, and during his time working for the national programme attended three Olympic Games, many Triathlon World Championships and World Cup races.
During his coaching time, he worked with the 2011 U23 World Champion Matt Sharp, 2012 Olympian Lucy Hall and Adam Bowden, top 12 in the world in 2014, and Aaron Harris 6th in Commonwealth Games 2014.
During his previous roles with British Triathlon, he has worked with all the major names of the last 10 years in Olympic triathlon including Alistair and Jonny Brownlee, Helen Jenkins, Jodie Stimpson, Tim Don, Liz Blatchford and many more.
Now an independent coach, Pearce is working with age groupers and professional triathletes from Olympic up to Ironman distance.
One of his first and most prestigious clients with Intelligent Triathlon Training is Will Clarke, 2008 Olympian and now racing over 70.3 with wins this year at Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote and Wimbleball.
Says Clarke, “I'm really excited to start working with the inspiring Mark because I'm convinced that a smarter and more scientific approach to my training will close the gap to the guys winning races.”
Terry, one of Intelligent Triathlon Training’s first age-group customers, says,
“The top things about working with Mark?
1 The discipline of having a schedule that is professionally prepared
2 The personal interaction and Mark’s ability to tailor training to lifestyle and race focus is hugely beneficial
3 You know you are being coached by an individual who has the experience and knowledge of training techniques that work
4 Online facilities including the effectiveness of Training Peaks are really great.”
To celebrate launching their triathlon coaching service, they are offering a lucky triathlete the chance to win a consultation and bespoke 6 week training plan.
