The 8th Annual Albany VegFest is an informative festival promoting the many benefits of a plant-based diet. The event highlights delicious healthy vegan food, animal rescue shelters, restaurants and nationally recognized speakers. There will be cooking demonstrations, stage activities, music, and a kids area with face painting and arts and crafts. It is an event for the entire family. Enjoy vendors, food sampling, and informative presentations on animal rescue, humane education, animal agriculture on the environment and reducing the risk for chronic disease with diet changes.
Albany VegFest is sponsored by the Albany Vegan Network, a not-for-profit organization of health conscious, compassionate, and dedicated volunteers. The event emphasizes the benefits of a plant-based diet for improving health, protecting the environment and saving the lives of animals. As HAVE, Inc. said of a previous year, “It was a fantastic day of meeting lots of people with common interests in eating healthy, plant based diets, and interest in animal rights and protection. The event also offered some truly great speakers and presenters, who offered so much expertise and practical knowledge about healthy eating, healthy living, and compassionate living as well.”
The attendance at the Albany VegFest is expecting to reach over 2500 people in the 8th year. The event will take place on Saturday November 15, 2014 from 10am-5pm at the Polish Community Center 225 Washington Ave. Extension Albany, NY 12205. There is free admission with a suggested donation of $5 per person. For more information, please visit http://www.albanyvegan.org
