Soul Poles extends its line of Socially Responsible and Environmentally Conscious Ski + Hiking Poles with the new SoulLite Project
Park City, Utah (PRWEB) November 13, 2014 -- Driven by its mission to inspire momentous living and the protection of the playgrounds we love, for-purpose, outdoor adventure brand, Soul Poles, is launching its first-ever Kickstarter campaign to introduce The SoulLite Project - a low impact ski + hiking pole handmade from responsibly sourced bamboo and recycled PET plastics.
Founded by former U.S. Ski Team members Bryon Friedman and Erik Schlopy in 2011, Soul Poles’ passion for promoting positive environmental and social change is drawn from a genuine love for the mountains and the lifestyle it supports. Soul Poles’ line of ski poles have been recognized as the standard in alpine ski performance and corporate responsibility by industry experts, earning the line Powder Magazine’s 2012 “Gear of the Year” accolades as well as a 2015 “Editor’s pick” by Freeskier Magazine. By extending the company’s reach to include The SoulLite Project’s accessibly priced, truly convertible ski + hiking poles, Soul Poles hopes to further the conversation about environmental and social responsibility in the ski and outdoor industries.
As Friedman said in an interview about the launch, “We see The SoulLite Project as our [Soul Poles’] first step towards increasing the visibility of the brand in outdoor retail and on hill. Priced according to consumer trends, we anticipate The SoulLite Project to fill the void between affordability and sustainability, supplanting the aluminum pole for the environmentally conscious consumer.”
The SoulLite Project reveals a lightweight and streamlined Soul Pole featuring: ergonomically designed, recycled plastic grips; durable, performance nylon tips with steal inserts; and mid-sized, removable baskets, to allow for a seamless transition from skiing to hiking.
The SoulLite Project skiing and hiking poles are currently available through the Soul Poles Kickstarter campaign, with an exclusive early bird price of $69/pair. Soul Poles hopes to crowd-source the funds necessary to invest in the tooling of its proprietary plastic baskets, grips, and tip molds for delivery Fall 2015.
Join Soul Poles this November 2014 and help get The SoulLite Project off the ground and more sustainable, socially responsible, and affordable ski and hiking poles on hill.
