(PRWEB) November 12, 2014
At this year’s NASS annual meeting, the world’s largest spine meeting and exhibition, innovation leader Ziehm Imaging presents its developments and innovations in 2D and 3D imaging for use in spinal surgery. Ziehm Imaging will display its newest innovation for intraoperative 3D imaging, a fully motorized mobile c-arm with flat-panel technology and a 25 kW generator, which is not yet cleared for sale in the US, at booth # 324.
The number of minimally invasive procedures in spinal surgery is steadily growing, creating more demand for intraoperative imaging solutions. Ziehm Imaging is supporting this trend with its innovative range of mobile C-arms that deliver reliable intraoperative 2D and 3D X-ray images. The easy-to-operate, intuitive systems quickly produce high-quality images even in the presence of metal artifacts e.g. pedicle screws. 3D intraoperative imaging makes it possible for the surgeon to correct hardware placement directly in the OR. Easy interfacing with navigation systems provides flexibility and also helps to ensure the best clinical outcomes.
"Spinal surgery is one of our key market segments that we serve with a range of dedicated clinical solutions”, says Nelson Mendes, President & CEO Ziehm Imaging Inc. "At NASS, we are proud to present our latest innovations in 2D and 3D imaging that are exactly tailored to the needs in spinal surgery.”
Ziehm Imaging has stood for mobile X-ray-based imaging for over 40 years. Since the company was founded in 1972, more than 10,000 C-arms have been installed in hospitals and medical facilities around the globe.
