Andrews Osborne Academy Presents Little Shop of Horrors
Willoughby, Ohio (PRWEB) November 14, 2014 -- This plant has a thirst for blood and world domination and it has found itself planted at AOA. Only the students of Andrews Osborne Academy can stop Audrey II in their production of Little Shop of Horrors! (or can they?)
Little Shop of Horrors is a comedy horror rock musical, by composer Alan Menken and writer Howard Ashman, about a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh. Little Shop of Horrors is a campy and creepy musical classic which has had several revivals on Broadway and the West End. The musical is based on the low-budget 1960 cult classic film The Little Shop of Horrors, directed by Roger Corman, and is the basis for the 1986 film by the same name. The music includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, "Skid Row (Downtown)", "Somewhere That's Green", and "Suddenly, Seymour".
Performances are Nov. 21 and 22 at 7:00 p.m. and Nov. 23 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 students/seniors, $10 adults with tickets available in the school’s main office and at the door. Any questions, please email Choral and Theater Program Director Joel McDaniel at jmcdaniel(at)andrewsosborne(dot)org
