Cyclists Unite for 2014 Bill Bone Saving Limbs Ride on November 30th
West Palm Beach, Florida (PRWEB) November 17, 2014 -- Bill Bone Bike Law is proud to announce participation with the Paley Foundation’s Palm 2 Palm Cross-Country Tour, a 2,700 mile ride which will take place over a 6 week period. On Saturday, October 18th, Brent Hayes along with other cyclists from around the country embarked on an incredible cross-country cycling tour. The ride began in Palm Springs, California and will finish in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday, November 30th at the St. Mary’s Medical Center Campus.
Brent Hayes is a cancer survivor and former patient of Dr. Paley. The Paley Foundation was established in their effort to make a change. More specifically, they are dedicated to “changing the current standard of care from amputation and a life of prosthetics to innovate and proven limb reconstruction and lengthening whenever possible." The Paley Foundation has played a significant role in changing the lives of thousands, not only by avoiding amputations, but by providing financial assistance to qualifying families, raising awareness, and educating the community.
Bill Bone Bike Law is excited to participate in the cross-country ride by sponsoring The Bill Bone Saving Limbs Ride, which will serve as a culmination of Brent Hayes ride across the country. The Bill Bone Saving Limbs Ride encourages all of the cyclists in the Palm Beach County area to join in this local ride that will meet Brent Hayes and ride to escort him into West Palm Beach.
Starting from the campus of St. Mary’s Medical Center and continuing on for a tour of Palm Beach County, riders have the opportunity to join in for 15, 30, or the full 60 miles. The culmination of the Palm 2 Palm Cross-Country Tour will be a huge celebration.
