University of Maryland Joins as First KualiCo Product Partner for Next Generation Higher Ed Student Information System
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) November 12, 2014 -- KualiCo, an open source software company focused on the delivery of innovative administrative solutions for higher education, announced today the University of Maryland has joined as the first product partner for the new cloud-based student information system. The announcement was made publicly during the opening plenary session of Kuali Days 2014 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

As a product partner, the University of Maryland will leverage KualiCo’s technical and product development expertise, while contributing subject matter knowledge and personnel to help guide features and functionality in the new system. The end result will be a student information system designed to meet the current and emerging needs of higher education.
The first phase of the student project is the Curriculum Management module that will assist faculty and administrators develop and manage a catalog of courses and program offerings from entry to graduation. Future modules include Enrollment, Financial Aid, Academic Planning, Student Accounts, and Degree Audit.

Kuali Days 2014 continues through November 13 at the JW Marriott in Indianapolis, Indiana. This year’s conference recorded more than 730 attendees representing 134 institutions or organizations, 39 states, and eight countries.
