The University of Oklahoma partners up with TechJOYnT for the CCEW internship program of Fall 2014
Oklahoma City, OK (PRWEB) November 13, 2014 -- The Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth, the CCEW, is a program created by the University of Oklahoma that partners students and businesses to promote economic development in Oklahoma. This program aims to provide the best recommendations and strategies for tech startups, social entrepreneurship ventures and new businesses, according to their website. OU Students get into teams and are tasked with providing top-notch solutions to real-world problems.
This opportunity is great for both the students and the businesses. Indeed the students learn how to use management consulting practices, analytical thinking, communication skills and problem solving techniques, which will differentiate them from other graduates later on and help them become leaders; and businesses benefit from this program by getting insights and recommendations that allows them to become more profitable and thus create new jobs for Oklahomans. CCEW is focusing on the entrepreneurial world, they help local entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses.
This year one of the students' teams is working with the local organization TechJOYnT, that focuses on STEM education: Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Examples of the courses they provide are robotics, game design and app development. TechJOYnT offers either at school or after school classes, as well as field trips to TechJOYnT Academy. The objective of the OU team is to provide a high-impact expansion plan and implementation strategy for TechJOYnT.
