Huntington Beach, CA (PRWEB) November 14, 2014
Teacher Created Materials, an educational publisher in Huntington Beach, CA, went the extra mile to increase breast cancer awareness by donating a percentage of its net sales during the month of October.
Teacher Created Materials has been involved in raising awareness (and money) for breast cancer research since 1999. This year, the company sought to expand their regular fundraising efforts by donating a percentage of net sales in October from its Teacher Created Materials Today website http://www.tcm-today.com to benefit awareness and prevention of breast cancer at the Hoag Breast Center.
By donating to Hoag “we hope to help fund efforts towards breast cancer education, research, and awareness,” says Corinne Burton, President. “If we can help scientists get one step closer to finding a cure for this terrible disease,” she continued, “we hope to keep hardworking teachers affected by this disease in the classroom.”
To get in the spirit of giving, employees were encouraged to join in the effort and show their support by dressing in pink on a designated date. The company donated an additional amount to Hoag Breast Center for each person who participated.
