GadgetCoin Bridges the Gap Between Digital Currencies and Hardware

Paying for hardware services with smart contracts and digital currencies.

The GadgetCoin developers are pleased to announce the start of the GadgetCoin open source project, a new digital currency network that makes it viable to pay for hardware and Internet of Things services with digital currencies.

As digital currencies are becoming more and more popular, the market is crying out for a way for these currencies to be relevant to people’s everyday needs. Using GadgetCoin, things like parking meters, Laundromats, and gym equipment can all be programmed to receive instant digital payments with 1 second transaction times. Unlike conventional BitCoin, which can take upwards of 30 minutes for payment to process, the Gadgetcoin network solves this issue thereby enabling real time transactions between users and machines.

GadgetCoin adopts the Ethereum smart contract concept for hardware. Smart contracts can be used in a number of ways, substituting complex business processes with intuitive one-click solutions. For example, a complex software back end would no longer be needed for operating self-storage units or a chain of car washes.

GadgetCoin is a completely open source project that is heavily focused on community building and accessibility.

The GadgetCoin protocol will be available for open source and commercial projects to manage hardware and make digital currency payments to Internet of Things devices.
