On our country's large military budget:
Jimmy says that America has a tight budget for education, but not for the military. He says, "They tell us we're broke all the time, but apparently we have endless money when we need to bomb somebody in the Middle East."
On policies and laws benefiting the upper class:
Jimmy Dore says, "When you're elected to congress, they tell you that you're going to spend 4-hours a day talking to rich people to get more money for your next election. Then you wonder why their policies and laws reflect the interests of rich people, because that's who they're talking to all day."
On Edward Snowden's negative medial portrayal:
Jimmy Dore says Edward Snowden, "risked a good life with a pretty girlfriend to go live in an airport in Russia because he cared about his country. If you listen to the newsmen who are bought and paid for by defense contractors, they'll tell you that Edward Snowden is nothing more than a narcissitic creep who's an anti-American."
On there not being a difference between CNN and Al Jazeera news:
Jimmy Dore says, "The difference between Al Jazeera and CNN is that CNN likes to show the bombs taking off. Al Jazeera likes to show when they land."
