Yesterday’s Lady to Offer Candlelight Christmas Tours of Historic Shreveport Homes

Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau announces details of festive holiday tours featuring two historic Shreveport residences.

The homes are very different and have different histories...this is definitely a fun tour.

Shreveport-based tour guide service Yesterday’s Lady will host Candlelight Christmas Tours, a guided holiday tour of two historic Shreveport homes, 6-8:30 p.m., Dec. 4 & 5 and Dec. 11 & 12. The tour will include stops at the Logan Mansion, built in 1897, as well as the Davis Homeplace, built in 1916. Both residences will be elaborately decorated for the holidays. Tickets cost $26 per person and include shuttle transportation, light refreshments and a guided tour of both homes. Tickets must be purchased in advance. “The homes are very different and have different histories,” said Jan Pettiet, tour guide and owner of Yesterday’s Lady. “It’s definitely a fun tour.”

Tours will depart from the Douglas Parking lot located at the intersection of Market Street and Travis Street in downtown Shreveport. Free parking will be available for tour participants to park and board the shuttle. Shuttle loading begins at 5:30 p.m. and tours will depart promptly at 6 p.m.
