Taylor Swift Tickets in Los Angeles at Staples Center and in Glendale/Phoenix at Gila River Arena Selling at Record Pace
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 14, 2014 -- When the announcement of Taylor Swift’s 2015 tour was made, there were several cities that were immediately pleased to find two shows held at their local venue. Among the cities that have already had multiple dates announced include Foxborough, MA, Los Angeles, CA, Columbus, OH, Nashville, TN, Denver, CO, St. Louis , MI, and Glendale, AR. Glendale, Arizona will see shows on Monday, August 17th and Tuesday, August 18th at the Gila River Arena, which was formerly known as the Jobing.com Arena. Los Angeles, California will see shows on Tuesday, August 25th and Wednesday, August 26th.
Swift is only 24 and has already been in the music business for a decade. She has released five studio albums including her first four as a country artist and her most recent album in the pop genre. The success of that pop album, 1989, changed the way fans looked at music. In an era when record sales were at an all-time low, Swift helped to turn things around this year.
Before the release of 1989, there was not a single album released this year that sold more than a million copies. 1.287 million units later and there was finally an album from 2014 to sell one million copies. The only other album to sell more than one million units this year was the Frozen soundtrack, which was released in late 2013. This wasn’t the first time Swift sold more than a million copies in a week and she became the first artist of all time to have three albums sell at least one million copies in its first week.
When Swift takes the stage at the Gila River Arena and Staples Center during “The 1989 World Tour,” her fans will hope to hear her perform many of her classic country hits like “Tim McGraw,” “You Belong With Me,” “We Are Never Getting Back Together,” and “Today Was a Fairytale.” Her fans will also want to hear her perform all the tracks off her new album including the multi-platinum single, “Shake it Off,” as well as “Blank Space,” “Welcome to New York,” and “Out of the Woods.”
