Mobile is for business. Every firm with a web app must now consider the visibility and sales they are losing by not having a mobile version. Every new business or software product is faced with this same concern. Responsive web design only meets certain limited goals before it’s time to build a native app for several platforms. This talk discusses how to approach the challenge of building business apps for Android, iOS, and Windows phones and tablets. It covers the key considerations when scaling up a company’s mobile presence. This talk will cover the advantages and limitations of:
- Responsive design
- Native apps
- Cross-platform development
What tools are available to undertake these types of projects and what are the skill sets needed to use them? What resources are available to build these apps and what should be expected as a result? This talk covers the facts needed to budget, plan, and design apps. The strategies outlined here can help a company hone its mobile strategy.
Presented by Lexicon Systems, a Xamarin Premier Consulting Partner. Sponsored by Rhodes Donahoe LLC.
