Dec. 6, 2014 at 7 p.m.– The 4th Annual Aliso Viejo Holiday Show is presented by the City of Aliso Viejo and Soka University. This year’s event, “Voices of Peace,” is a choral celebration of the holidays featuring local choruses including New Vision Singers, California Irvine Mission Choir, Soka Singers and Aliso Niguel High School Madrigals. Bring canned food for a collection being taken in the lobby for South County Outreach. Proceeds go toward student scholarships.
Dec. 7, 2014 at 7 p.m. – Cantus presents “All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914” by Peter Rothstein, with musical arrangements by Erick Lichte and Timothy C. Takach. One hundred years ago peace broke out, at least for a little while: the Western Front, Christmas Eve, 1914. Out of the violence of the Great War’s trenches comes a silence, then a song, as a young German soldier steps into no man’s land singing "Stille Nacht." Thus begins an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music, and peace.
Dec. 12, 2014 at 8 p.m.– The Na Leo Holiday Concert will feature Na Leo’s contemporary hits as well as holiday classics. Na Leo Pilimehana, which in Hawaiian means “the voices blending together in warmth,” is the most popular, most award-winning and highest-selling female Hawaiian group in the world. Na Leo consists of three childhood friends, Nalani Choy, Lehua Kalima Heine and Angela Morales returning to the mainland after ten years away.
Dec. 14, 2014 – The All-American Boys Chorus presents “Sounds of Christmas” in this popular, family-friendly concert. Sing along to your favorite Yuletide songs like “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Jingle Bell Rock,” and “Winter Wonderland.”
