Christy Jordan Wrenn, an Administrative Academic Librarian and author, has completed her first book “Rylan and Burt”: an inspiring story brimming with energy, settings that flood the mind, and characters that are unforgettable.
On how she would describe the book, its message, and the characters, author Christy Jordan Wrenn said, “Rylan and Burt is about a three year boy who lives in Anchorage, Alaska and loves life. He is not so crazy about his two sisters, but he tolerates them. Rylan has a great imagination, even at three. He loves playing outside, but his mother wants to keep an eye on him because of the wildlife that can just appear at any time. Burt the bear appears from the park and walks into the family backyard and into Rylan's heart as a friend. When Burt leaves Rylan to return to his mother and two bear siblings, Rylan realizes that Burt’s family is just like his family with a mom and three children. Burt is Rylan's friend.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Christy Jordan Wrenn’s poignant tale is a reminder that every soul may find absolution and that goodness and prosperity await those who are willing to put in an honest effort.
Rylan’s two sisters—a baby and a six-year-old—do not play with him. He plays all by himself, jumping on his trampoline until he gets tired. He really wishes he had a friend. One day, someone came into Rylan’s backyard. Who is it? Will he and Rylan will become friends?
Readers who wish to experience this inspiring work can purchase “Rylan and Burt” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
