The guide features 10 single malt scotch whiskies from various distilleries, and is followed by five blends, all of which have been carefully selected with the luxury consumer in mind. Some of the featured brands include long-established and respected names like Johnnie Walker, whilst other smaller distilleries have also been included, and have not been left out of the spotlight.
Some of the recommended bottles are considered premium whiskies, but there are other, much more affordable offerings and lesser known distilleries which have been included.
The general price bracket of the scotch falls between £50 - £150. Editor-in-chief and co-founder of Qosy, Aisha Kellaway says “Qosy is a firm believer that cost and quality are not always related, and this is particularly evident in the scotch whisky market. We've worked hard to objectively feature the whiskies that are exceptional, regardless of their price tag".
After launching the website in April this year, Qosy has quickly grown into an established website on luxury lifestyle. Initially focusing on home-wares and luxury travel, the end of the year sees Qosy expanding into the market of food and drink. In perfect time for Christmas shopping, Ms Kellaway says that Qosy’s guide to the best Scotch whisky of 2015 is intended to provide inspiration for readers, and assist them in making well-informed decisions in the scotch market.
“We always wanted Qosy to be a comprehensive hub of luxury inspiration and recommendations. We’re all about separating the good things from great things, whilst accounting for personal taste and preference. Our guide to the best Scotch whiskies is unique in that we’ve worked closely in line with brands and independent experts to develop a carefully selected list which still caters to a broad variety of individual preferences.” Ms Kellaway said.
