With the growth of BYOD and the remote workforce, we designed our applications to meet demand for on-the-go communication while still maintaining the ESI experience our customers have grown to love.

ESI, the innovative designer and manufacturer of high-performance business telephone systems and cloud services, today announced the expansion and enhancement of its mobile applications offerings that serve the mobile work environment. The company introduced new features for its Ditto Cloud PBX application, launched the beta version of its IP 900 Mobile application for users of the IP Server 900 solution, and announced a new 30-day free trial for its Abillity® mobile billing application.

“The modern workplace is becoming increasingly less restricted by location and more dependent on technology,” said George Platt, ESI’s chief executive officer. “With the growth of BYOD and the remote workforce, we designed our applications to meet demand for on-the-go communication while still maintaining the ESI experience our customers have grown to love.”

ESI Ditto
Since the September launch of ESI Ditto, a mobile application that mirrors the functionality of an ESI desk phone for Cloud PBX users, ESI has implemented updates including a streamlined user interface with a new look and new navigation, as well as a split-screen layout for rapid access of features on 7-inch and 10-inch tablets.

Available on both Apple and Android device, ESI Ditto provides a holistic approach for user connectivity, with:

  • Single Number Reach, allowing calls to be automatically routed to a mobile device
  • Visual voicemail with click-to-dial call-back functionality
  • A sophisticated WiFi-to-cellular data handoff to maintain constant connection based on network availability
  • ESI Intelitouch™, an intelligent integration between SIP endpoints and the web-based dashboard for a truly unified experience

IP 900 Mobile
ESI also unveiled the beta version of its IP 900 Mobile, the companion application for its IP Server 900 solution. This mobile application has a similar functionality to ESI Ditto, but serves businesses with on-premises communication systems.

The IP 900 Mobile is a unified communications system that combines the reliability of a traditional on-premises phone system with the added flexibility of leveraging network connectivity. With its companion mobile application extending the system’s SIP/VoIP calling functionality to mobile devices, businesses can impact their bottom line by increasing worker productivity and delivering an enhanced customer experience.

Abillity
ESI announced a new 30-day free trial period of Abillity, a billing application that captures and classifies the billable status of every phone call in seconds, allowing users to track hours in real time. Popular among lawyers and other professionals that rely on billable hours, Abillity helps users reclaim lost time and revenue.

Abillity is available on desktops, Apple and Android-based mobile devices, and has a simple and intuitive interface. At the end of a call, Abillity automatically prompts the user to classify if the call is billable, and record or type a memo. The call is then securely exported into the Abillity web portal where users can review billing records, control the data and make edits.

ESI Ditto, IP 900 Mobile and Abillity are part of the company’s broader portfolio of end-to-end cloud solutions, including SIP trunking, audio conferencing, and CloudFax. As the only cloud market vendor that is 100-percent channel-driven, ESI remains committed to providing businesses a tailored experience with local system support to ensure the user’s success.
