Pump It Up of Frederick, part of the nation’s largest chain of kids’ indoor, inflatable entertainment venues, will host its 2nd Annual Teddy Bear Round Up to benefit the Frederick City Police Department.
Pump It Up invites parents and children to jump, slide and bounce on the facility’s huge, colorful inflatable structures on November 30th from 12pm - 5pm, encouraging families to jump for free with a Teddy Bear donation for each participating child. All Teddy Bears will be donated to the Frederick City Police Department.

The donated bears will be used by City Police Officers to comfort children exposed to traumatic situations, and to let the children know that the police are only there to help. Last years' event provided approximately 100 comforting bears (and other animals) to the Frederick City Police Department. This year's goal is to donate 150 bears.

"The Frederick community has really embraced Pump It Up, and as local business owners, we believe it is very important for us to give back to the community," said Amy Southmayd, owner of Pump It Up in Frederick. "the Teddy Bear Round Up concept seemed like a perfect pairing for Pump It Up and their commitment to childhood" Southmayd added.

Part of the nation’s largest, indoor inflatable franchises, Pump It Up of Frederick is the original party facility of its kind. Guests are treated to large indoor arenas filled with a wide variety of engaging, challenging and brightly colored inflatable structures that stand almost two stories high. Children can bounce and tumble on custom inflatable bounce houses, two slides, obstacle courses, and jousting arenas.

Pump It Up of Frederick, located at 8420 Gas House Pike, can be reached at 301-620-2166 for questions and registration information.
