Elizabeth Showers Trunk Show & Personal Appearance Hosted by Sorrel Sky Gallery
Santa Fe, NM (PRWEB) November 18, 2014 -- Sorrel Sky Gallery welcomes jewelry artist and designer Elizabeth Showers, showcasing a special selection of her beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. Just in time for the holidays, the public is encouraged to stroll in to the gallery, Friday, December 5 from 5 – 7:30 p.m. for the First Friday Art Walk in Santa Fe.
Showers artistic creations began at her grandmother’s kitchen table at a very young age and those memories continue to inspire her designs. She studied at the Gemological Institute of America in California and has traveled around the world as one can see by the exotic influences of Africa, Thailand and the Far East in her work.
Early in Showers’ life she struggled with an eating disorder and found her way through that healing journey by creating intricately beaded jewelry for the people who were important during her recovery. That experience set her on a path to use her talents to empower women to feel beautiful both inside and out. Showers says she “wants to create pieces that inspire a woman’s self confidence and make her feel beautiful.”
Shanan Campbell Wells, gallery owner says, “It’s always a joy to see Elizabeth and see our customers’ face when considering a pair of her exquisite pieces. She sends a strong and beautiful message to women through her designs.”
Sorrel Sky Gallery’s fresh approach to Western art presents a select collection of contemporary and traditional fine art and jewelry for the discerning collector.
