Bright Pattern announces the incorporation of video channels for sales and customer service as part of the Rich Contact Experience functionality (combination of media channels over a single customer connection) in the ServicePattern cloud contact center platform. Generally available in Q1 2015, the incorporation of video communication technology would enable new avenues to increase sales, improve the customer experience, and reduce costs.

Bright Pattern announces the incorporation of video channels for sales and customer service as part of the Rich Contact Experience functionality (combination of media channels over a single customer connection) in the ServicePattern cloud contact center platform. Generally available in Q1 2015, the incorporation of video communication technology would enable new avenues to increase sales, improve the customer experience, and reduce costs. The new functionality can be used in a number of methods that provide increasing value:

Video customer service from mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) is one example, providing the additional human touch in such applications as elderly care, or in high-end customer support.

Video point-of-sale kiosks deliver remotely connected sales staff for high-value services transactions, such as car rentals; it can also augment any self-service POS terminal or ATM machines with enhanced human-touch customer service for handling exceptions. This enriched approach can drive increased sales and customer service consistency, improve training and supervision, while leveraging call center technology, and consolidating infrastructure.
