Peloton Announces Successful Deployment of Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service for Racepoint Global

Peloton today announced the go-live of Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service for its client Racepoint Global – one of the fastest PBCS implementations and end-user adoptions in the US. In just under five weeks, Racepoint Global was able to leverage PBCS to reduce cycle time and increase efficiency in their FP&A Process, integrate the complex elements of a global organization, such as currency conversion, into PBCS, and reduce the overall effort to develop strategic and management reporting.

The Racepoint Global finance team was still leveraging various source systems and a complex web of spreadsheets to develop its financial forecast,” said Robert Caruso, Vice President of Cloud Services at Peloton. “In dire need of an enterprise grade yet cost efficient solution, Racepoint Global’s CFO initiated the dialog with Oracle and Peloton in August of 2014. Thanks to the cloud-based deployment model, avoiding infrastructure investments and installation efforts, and Peloton’s CloudAccelerator approach, the first phase went live in September."

Thanks to the streamlined forecasting approach that has been rolled out to all of its global offices, the FP&A team now has more time to focus on value added financial analysis and providing information versus collecting, consolidating, reconciling, and validating data. Through the hosted deployment model, Racepoint has access to a centralized information repository purpose-built for financial planning and is well-positioned to further expand its planning capabilities through PBCS.
