Leveraging Its Expertise, the International Clean Technology Company Helps the Industrial and Building Automation Community Specify Standardized Demand Automation Software

Powerit Solutions (http://www.poweritsolutions.com), an international clean technology company that sets the demand management standard, today announced that it has published a new Electrical Demand Automation Software specification.

Released at Automation Fair® 2014, and written using MasterFormat from CSI, Powerit authored this open specification to help the industrial and building automation community specify standardized demand automation software.

The new Electrical Demand Automation Software specification, which is informed by Powerit’s decades of experience in demand automation, is available for reference, and may be included in requests for information or proposal, to evaluate the capabilities of proposed software.

“We’re offering this open specification to individual companies, engineering firms and energy services companies who want to include demand automation capabilities in new construction or existing facilities,” says Kevin Klustner, CEO of Powerit Solutions. “Including these capabilities provides operations and facilities managers, engineering teams and executive management the ability to control and reduce their energy costs without impacting production throughput, product quality or building comfort through peak demand control, automated demand response and real-time pricing automation.”

Powerit will also be presenting at Automation Fair 2014 about how smarter plants, smarter equipment and smarter assembly lines with cloud-based technologies can build the industrial equivalent of the Internet of Things (IoT) for energy usage.

Adds Klustner: “Each year, billions of dollars are spent connecting industrial machines, automating manufacturing operations and coordinating these often-disparate automation systems. But connecting these machines to the Internet of Things (IoT) gives them the ability to join an intelligent network that can help reduce the significant costs associated with automation. “
