NFI Donates Transportation to MediSend International
Cherry Hill, N.J. (PRWEB) November 19, 2014 -- NFI, a leading supply chain company headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is proud to be partnering with MediSend International, Dallas based non-profit organization. NFI will be providing transportation services needed for MediSend’s new training center in Dallas, TX this November.
Social responsibility is one of NFI's core values. NFI is able to provide a variety of services that can assist with MediSend's missions and accommodate their growth. NFI and MediSend have worked together on several projects over the years. Initially, NFI provided transportation services for MediSend’s move from one headquarters location to another as the company began to grow in 2004. In 2009, NFI shipped supplies to benefit hospitals in Equatorial Guinea, Angola, Chad, and Bangladesh on behalf of MediSend. A year later, when the 2010 earthquake disaster struck Haiti, NFI also assisted MediSend in shipping supplies to those in need. Now, as part of MediSend’s partnership with the World Olympians Association in the #TargetEbola Campaign, NFI is transporting containers filled with medical supplies and personal protection supplies to Chicago. The containers are then bound for Sierra Leone via AirLink, a humanitarian association of 32 of the largest airlines in the world.
MediSend has made it their mission to train technicians from hospitals around the world, ship biomedical equipment test and repair laboratories to these hospitals, and also provide medical equipment technology education to military veterans who will work for manufacturers or hospitals within the U.S. NFI will be providing shipments of materials needed at the recently renovated training center, General Myers School in Dallas, TX. This MediSend training center is dedicated to teaching military veterans how to repair and maintain medical equipment such as ultrasounds, patient monitors and infusion pumps.
MediSend International CEO, Nick Hallack, says, “Since the beginning of our partnership with NFI, they have been major contributors in helping us grow and accomplish our mission. Their logistics expertise has helped us deliver supplies efficiently and cost-effectively to those in need.”
MediSend needs donations to continue sending shipments that will help eliminate suffering and stem the spread of Ebola in Africa. If you are a supplier interested in helping the community, please visit the MediSend website for information on how you or your company can help.
