New Sites in the Galapagos Islands Opened to Travelers
Missoula, MT (PRWEB) November 20, 2014 -- Earlier this month, the Galapagos National Park granted approval to include two new visitor sites on specific cruise itineraries. The Corals ship is now allowed to land at the sites of Vicente Roca Point and Chinese Hat. The Galapagos Islands are already esteemed for their remarkable wildlife and natural beauty. Being able to see even more of the archipelago offers an even more exciting opportunity to visitors.
Vicente Roca Point is located at one of the richest marine ecosystems on Earth, in Bolivar Channel between Isabela and Fernandina Islands. Therefore, it offers a diversity of sea and coastal birds, as well as marine life. Chinese Hat is a beautiful inlet set off the southeastern tip of Santiago Island where Galapagos Penguins are often sighted. Strict restrictions on the number of visitors to this site make this landing a rare opportunity. Travelers have the option to take a scenic hike or snorkel at Chinese Hat.
“We are continuously seeking ways to improve the itineraries we offer our travelers,” said general manager Jonathan Brunger. “The accessibility of these two sites in the Galapagos provides exciting opportunities for new experiences.”
