The Ultimate GHD Christmas Buyer’s Guide - Help Choosing the right ghd!
(PRWEB UK) 27 November 2014 -- Firstly there are 3 categories of styling irons; mk4, mk5 (gold series) and the new ghd eclipse.
The ghd the mk4 styler is a fantastic place to start. Like all ghds the mk4 heats to 185 degrees, which is perfect for creating a poker straight finish or beachy waves. The floating aluminium plates help assist the heavier of handed user as well as lessen the chances of indentations on the hair.
Other features of include a 2.7 metre cable, an auto shut off after 30minutes, 2 year warranty and universal voltage.
Looking for an upgrade on an earlier model? Then the gold series is perfect. As well as having all the qualities of the mk4 gold series comes with a few extras:
• A contoured barrel with a smoother finish,
• A rounder, lighter, cooler casing for easier use,
• A counterfeit protecting design,
• More durable cable
In the gold series there is also a range of 3 sizes to choose from; Mini, classic and max. Usually it is suggested to choose a styler depending on hair length, however a more accurate way to tell if the styler is right is on what results they would like to gain from the styler. For example for a looser shape, little movement, a natural result, and the max would be ideal, this styler is not just for long and thick hair. Amazing results can be seen on long bobs.
The classic size styler can be used for a range of styles, from straight to a tighter curl or a bohemian wave.
Lastly the mini stylers can be used for more intricate details or to create more dramatic finishes, this styler is certainly not just for short hair!
Previously in ghd’s history all stylers have been an ungraded version of the previous styler. However this has all changed with the brand new ghd eclipse styler. The ghd eclipse contains all new multizone-patented tri-zone technology. This means that the new stylers contain more sensors (6 in total), which think independently to provide the correct 185-degree heat when and where it’s needed. The plates can detect how thick the hair is between the plates as well as where the hair is.
Why is this so important? Well, when hair is heated above 210 degrees or below 165 it can have huge irreversible damaging effects. Too much heat will cause the proteins inside the hair (the bit that makes it strong) to melt and leak out. Leading to fragile breaking hair which no conditioning treatments can fix. However too little heat is also damaging. When hair is heated at 165 and lower the cuticles (the outside layer) isn’t sealed properly, meaning every pass of the styling irons over the hair will cause moisture to be sucked from the hair. Not to mention the hair will not be as shiny and colour fade increased.
Other features that make eclipse not only less damaging to the inside but also the outside of the hair include:
• Areogel insulation in the casing – no more hot finger tips when curling hair.
• The smoothest aluminium plates yet with a secret coating!
• They heat in around 15 seconds! That’s half the time of mk4 and mk5.
• A consistent 185 degrees meaning shinier, smoother, longer lasting styles in just one stroke.
• The curl achieved with the eclipse is between the tightness of the classics and max, a very versatile size.
The eclipse has all the extras like from the two previous stylers, such as the ability to cool down after 30 minutes and beep until they are turned off.
