New Motorcycle Helmets - AGV K5, Nexx XD1 & Shark Skwal at ForMotorbikes
London, UK (PRWEB) November 25, 2014 -- 2015 already looks like it’s going to be an exciting time for motorcycle riders, with the launch of three new and innovative motorcycle helmets, the AGV K5, Nexx XD1 and Shark Skwal.
The AGV K5 helmet has been developed with learnings taken from the helmet worn by the one and only Valentino Rossi. In designing the AGV K5, AGV were determined to make a helmet which is both light and aerodynamic, at an affordable price. Extensive wind tunnel testing and data from Rossi's helmet has resulted in the K5 remaining highly stable, even at speed, thanks to an integrated shell spoiler.
The shell of the AGV K5 is manufactured from carbon fibre, kevlar and fibreglass, resulting in a helmet which weighs just 1390g, a really impressive result for a motorcycle helmet featuring an internal sun visor. The AGV K5 is due for launch in early 2015 and is expected to cost £199.99 for the solid colours and £219.99 for the Roadracer, Hurricane and Drift designs.
Motorcyclists who ride both on and off road will be excited to learn of the new Nexx XD1 helmet. The Nexx XD1 is the first dual sport helmet to come out of the Nexx Helmet’s Portuguese factory. The Nexx XD1 can be worn as a full face helmet, with or without the peak, for road and adventure riding. When the rider wants to go off road, remove the visor and use goggles in the place of the visor. The Nexx XD1 can seamlessly accommodate a helmet camera on either the top or side of the helmet, using the integrated helmet cam system. The XD1 is also prepared for the X-Com bluetooth intercom, which fits perfectly into the side of the helmet.
Completing the line up is the new Shark Skwal, the first motorcycle helmet to feature integrated LEDs, illuminating the rider from both the front and the back. Motorcycle riders need all the help they can get when it comes to being seen by other road users. The Shark Skwal helmet gives motorcyclists another chance of being spotted, especially in the dark, when the LEDs are clearly visible.
Motorcyclists can even set the Shark Skwal helmet LEDs to flash, further grabbing the attention of other road users. They're powered by a built-in battery, charged by USB, and last 5 hours when set to show solidly, or 8 hours when set to flash.
