Data from Atlantic Information Services’s Forthcoming Directory Shows Volatility in U.S. Health Care Market
Washington, DC (PRWEB) November 21, 2014 -- Midway through the research period for the 2015 edition of Atlantic Information Services, Inc.’s (AIS) annual Directory of Health Plans, preliminary data shows volatility in the U.S. health plan market. AIS’s Directory of Health Plans is a comprehensive resource with enrollment data and contact information for health plans operating in the U.S. The 2015 edition will be available in February.
So far, researchers in AIS’s Directory and Databases Division, the company’s exclusive in-house research team, have identified 20 plans that have gone out of business and have added more than 20 new plans, some of which will begin selling for the 2015 plan year, based on their preliminary research. The 2015 data will reflect the first year of public exchange enrollment and the impact of other Affordable Care Act regulations that went into effect last year. The 2015 data will provide exchange enrollment from plans that participated in public exchanges in 2014. Researchers have already identified an enrollment total of 2,938,527 from 86 insurers participating in public exchanges.
To produce AIS’s Directory of Health Plans, researchers personally interview or survey a knowledgeable person at each health plan — including subsidiaries and parent companies — to get a clear picture of product offerings, contracts and markets.
Pre-ordering is now available for AIS’s Directory of Health Plans: 2015. For a limited time, those who pre-order the 2015 edition will receive the 2014 edition immediately to use until the 2015 edition is shipped.
