Christians for Biblical Equality Raises $83,235 on Give to the Max Day
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) November 24, 2014 -- On November 13, 2014, Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE) raised $83,235 through GiveMN.org’s sixth annual Give to the Max Day (GTMD).
The total raised is a combination of matching gifts, individual contributions, and a $500 prize grant for placing 8th among medium sized nonprofits in Minnesota. The combined $83,235 represents CBE’s highest total recorded giving for GTMD.
CBE plans to use the funds raised on GTMD to provide educational materials to leaders around the world, equip international libraries with egalitarian resources, create curriculum for high school and college students, create egalitarian marriage curriculum, and provide scholarships for the annual CBE conference.
“I want to say thank you to all who supported CBE on Give to the Max Day.” stated Dr. Mimi Haddad, president of CBE. “It is inspiring to see such overwhelming generosity. CBE will use these funds to continue working to promote the biblical basis for the shared leadership and authority of men and women, as God intends.”
GTMD is an annual giving event sponsored by GiveMN.org, an organization dedicated to promoting charitable giving to Minnesota-based nonprofits.
In its effort to advance a biblical foundation for gift-based rather than gender-based ministry and service, CBE sponsors annual conferences, facilitates local chapters, hosts an online bookstore, and publishes two award-winning journals. For more information, visit http://www.cbeinternational.org.
