AGI Software Selected by Air Mobility Command
Exton, PA (PRWEB) November 21, 2014 -- Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI), has been awarded a contract by Air Mobility Command (AMC) to provide a Global Awareness Decision Support (GLADS) solution based on integrating AGI’s Systems Tool Kit (STK) software with existing government off-the-self (GOTS) technologies. GLADS leverages the Global Awareness Presentations Services (GAPS) hosted at USSTRATCOM to combine hundreds of authoritative data sources to display and analyze airborne assets, weather, intelligence and logistical support information. GLADS provides situational awareness views and decision support to AMC and the 18th Air Force missions. GLADS will also help the 618th Air and Space Operations Center (Tanker Airlift Control Center) monitor and deconflict large volumes of airlift, air-to-air refueling, aeromedical evaluation and humanitarian relief sorties flown every day.
“We are thrilled that AMC and the 18th AF will be using AGI software for its decision support process. GLADS dramatically improves collaboration among anyone supporting global C2 missions. Integrating GOTS and COTS technologies has proven to be a cost-effective technology solution, resulting in the lowest operations and sustainment costs possible,” said Whitney Bobbitt, AGI director, Integrated Solutions. AGI’s modeling, simulation, analysis and visualization software has been in use since 1989 within more than 700 unique worldwide organizations, including many Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community organizations.
