Gamma Medica Selects Intelemage for Secure Cloud-Based Molecular Breast Image Registry
CINCINNATI, OH (PRWEB) November 21, 2014 -- Gamma Medica, Inc., a leader in molecular breast imaging, has partnered with Intelemage LLC, a pioneer in secure medical image exchange solutions, to provide a molecular breast imaging and data repository. Physicians utilizing molecular breast imaging (MBI) have historically collaborated and exchanged MBI cases for education and clinical decision support purposes via CDs, paper, and other means. Utilizing the InteleGRID®, the flagship product from Intelemage, Gamma Medica MBI users will have a secure, compliant, and efficient option for image and data sharing which integrates directly with their PACS. The InteleGRID® is extremely user friendly and provides the industries most configurable imaging collaboration platform. Physicians, technologists, and others working with Gamma Medica MBI equipment will be provided secure access to the system.
“We are continually striving to stay ahead of the curve in terms of new technologies in the radiology space,” said Jim Calandra, Chief Executive Officer of Gamma Medica. “We are passionate about customer satisfaction and making molecular breast imaging more widely available and Intelemage provides us a unique opportunity to significantly enhance collaboration and increase adoption.”
Gamma Medica plans to primarily utilize the InteleGRID® for secure data exchange and collaboration between medical institutions, as well as for a long term image library for future research and educational opportunities.
“The process of exchanging data between healthcare institutions still proves to be a difficult task,” said Dan Braga, VP of Business Development at Intelemage. “Our ability to not only securely acquire medical images, but also stage them through any number of configured workflows, will significantly enhance the molecular breast imaging community for Gamma Medica and the clients that they serve.”
Gamma Medica’s LumaGEM MBI system and Intelemage powered MBI registry will be on display at Gamma Medica’s booth, #1729 South Hall, and Intelemage, booth #8003, during the 100th annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), November 30th – December 5th in Chicago, IL.
