Susan Moseley, Founder and CEO of Moseley Investment Management, attends Women's Entrepreneurship Day at the UN
Bradenton, Florida (PRWEB) November 23, 2014 -- Susan Moseley, Founder and CEO of Moseley Investment Management, Inc., attended the inaugural Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (WED), in partnership with Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), at the United Nations Wednesday, November 19th 2014. Susan presented the Fashion Pioneer Award to Tamara Mellon, cofounder of footwear label Jimmie Choo.
Women’s Entrepreneurship Day was launched yesterday in 144 countries with WED’s global team of Ambassadors from China to Saudi Arabia. Governor Cuomo of the State of New York and New York City have proclaimed November 19 as Women’s Entrepreneurship Day.
The initiative, developed in recognition of the fact that in many countries, women remain a source of untapped economic potential, saw participants from 144 countries worldwide celebrate female leaders and shed light on some of the unique challenges that they face.
Moseley Investment Management is celebrating 25 years of service this year. The boutique investment firm provides risk managed, individualized retirement income portfolios. Susan say: "It seems so fitting that the launch of this initiative coincides with the 25th anniversary of my firm. When I first started my firm, the percentage of women taking a leadership role in the financial industry was remarkably low. Despite the role of women expanding significantly in many sectors, after 25 years, the financial industry still seems to be lagging in this respect. The WED initiative is something that I believe will help encourage and support aspiring women leaders across the board".
