Greg Stratis Of Shea Concrete Voted As NPCA Secretary/Treasurer
Wilmington, MA (PRWEB) December 02, 2014 -- Manager of Shea Concrete Products Greg Stratis was recently voted Secretary/Treasurer for the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) at the 49th Annual NPCA Convention in Montreal, Quebec. Stratis received a unanimous vote by NPCA members and is set to begin his one-year term.
He will oversee financial management duties to assure the association is keeping its healthy budget intact. In addition to his new position, Stratis is also in his second year as Chairman of the NPCA Marketing Task Force and has done so for the past three years. He also served on the NPCA Board of Directors for three years.
“It feels great to have the support of my peers at NPCA,” said Stratis. “To be voted in and assume this type of position is something I definitely look forward to. I’ve always felt strongly about contributing to the precast concrete industry and I’m glad I can do so in this new role.”
NPCA is integral to helping precasters with technical support, education and certification programs in helping precast companies lead the construction industry. One of its main goals is to increase market share for precasters around the country. This is accomplished through educating producers, engineers and end users. Shea Concrete has been an NPCA member for over 20 years.
“I think there is a certain responsibility that anyone within NPCA should carry and that’s giving back to other precasters around the country,” he said. “There’s a lot of ways the NPCA can help give them the education and brand awareness they’re searching for.”
“It’s all about making this industry grow and seeing how we can help one another,” he continued. “Not one precast company has all the answers, but together I feel like we do. Seeing this association help make the precast community as cooperative and successful as it is right now is what makes me appreciate it so much.”
